Washing machines, dishwasher and dryers are the main household appliances where the electronic controls associated with variable speed motors utilization is more and more frequent, penalizing the use of electromechanical controls and multi-polarities motors.
Coffee machines and microwave ovens have gone through the same evolution and are now intensively using electronic controls.
This process allowed a better performance, as well as the reduction of the energy consumption, but has also required the utilization of antinoise filters to reduce electromagnetic noise emission.

RLC Filters
The inductive-capacitive RFI filter, compliant with European Standard EN 133200, integrates, in a rugged plastic case, capacitors (X1Y2 or X2Y2), ring core coils and discharge resistance. Approved by IMQ e/o VDE, they offer excellent suppression characteristics in a wide range of frequencies. It’s available with various capacitive and inductive values with a maximum value of current of 16 amper/ 50Hz.

XY Capacitive filters

EMC Components
Chokes and capacitors X and Y, stand alone or together with RFI filter, are normally utilised in appliance or power tools to reduce the electromagnetic noise emission. The reduced dimensions allow them to be assembled directly on the device that generate the radio interference making their application effective.
