Selital Spa, born in 2002 as EMS supplier in the sectors of Telecommunications and Automotive as a joint venture with Italtel, was acquired at 100% by Selcom Group in 2003.

Actually the company produces electronic telephone exchanges since 1985 with “UT line” as a manufacturing branch of Italtel. Selital has a plant in Milan, where engineering and product prototyping take place and in Carini (Pa), where production is realized. In 1992, Italtel factories moved from the electronic assembly technology PTH to SMT. During the same period Carini started the “Automatic Factory” project with the highest automation level in Italtel Group and in the 90’s it become an integrated factory, one of the most advanced in Europe in the sector of telecommunications, keeping engineering and prototyping of product in Milan.

In 2000 Italtel started the “Set Top Box” mass production for the Decoder TV market, Carini being the manufacturing plant and with the engineering developed in Milan. In August 2002 Carini started the pencil coils production and during 2003 and 2004 production for ADSL/SHDSL technologies from important telecom customers. During 2005 it gained new customers in the Automotive market and in March 2006 started the production for the electronic appliance market.
