Selcom Elettronica is born in 1979 for the production of electronic boards and it quickly completes its range of services offering to the customers also the material purchasing and production test activity.
Over the years, Selcom has entered into different businesses offering different type of services. In 1981 it starts working for the leader manufacturer of automatic machines for the production and packaging of cigarettes. This is the beginning of a long partnership, still ongoing and consolidated over years with the commitment to Selcom of the complete management of electrical cabinets and of the co-design of “second generation” micro-process electronic boards.
In 1988 Selcom enters in the telecommunications market, starting the design and production of units for the power supply for the telecommunication switching center (Italtel).
In 1990 it goes also into the electromedical market, acquiring orders from Biomerieux.
In 1995 it strengths its position in the industrial automation gaining another important customer leader for the packaging machines.
In 1997 starts the production of protection circuits fro rechargeable batteries of mobile phone and in 2001 it goes into the automotive market with the production of pencil coils.
In 2002 it cements its position in telecommunication with the creation of a joint venture with Italtel, later become Selital (another company of Selcom Group).
Today Selcom can present itself as the ideal partner for the design, development, industrialization and production of solutions for electrical and electromechanical applications to customers of telecommunication (mobile and fixed phone, etc), industrial automation (packaging machines), biomedical, railway (emergency breaker and signalling systems), military (radar) automotive and heavy duty market.
